Corrections Policy

How ThugStream handles and reports errors in our reporting.

Last updated: 26 August 2026

Accuracy matters to us. This page explains how ThugStream handles mistakes, and how you can flag one.

1. How to report an error

If you spot a factual error in a ThugStream article, live update, team page or player profile, email [email protected] with the article URL, the specific error, and — where possible — a source we can check it against.

2. How we handle corrections

We review every correction request against original sources, official statements or statistics providers. Where an error is confirmed:

  • Factual errors (wrong score, name, date, statistic, etc.) are corrected in the article as soon as possible, with a short note added to the bottom of the piece stating what was changed and when.
  • Significant errors that materially change the meaning of a story are corrected and clearly flagged, with an explanation of what was wrong and what has been updated.
  • Minor edits (typos, formatting, broken links) are fixed without a formal correction note, since they don’t affect the substance of the reporting.

3. Live updates

Because our live updates feed is filed in real time, early bulletins may be superseded by later information as a situation develops (for example, an initial score or injury report). Where a live update turns out to be factually wrong rather than simply superseded, we correct or remove it and note the change.

4. Timeliness

We aim to action confirmed correction requests as quickly as possible, and always within a few working days of verification.

5. Editorial independence

Corrections are made solely on the basis of factual accuracy. We do not amend or remove accurate reporting at the request of a club, athlete, sponsor, or other interested party.
