Founded: 1905 · Ground: Stamford Bridge
Chelsea were founded in 1905 at the Stamford Bridge athletics ground in west London, which the club has used ever since. The team had to be created to give the stadium a tenant, and the name came from the nearby borough.
The Blues won their first league title in 1954-55 and became a major force again after 2003. They have won the Champions League twice, in 2012 and 2021, and in 2025 they also won the Club World Cup. They have also won the Europa League and the Conference League.
