AC Milan beat Atalanta 3-2 at San Siro on Sunday in round seven of Serie A, with Mario Gila’s goal in the 57th minute putting them 3-0 up before Atalanta pulled two back.
Milan went ahead in the 24th minute from the penalty spot, Gonçalo Ramos scoring. Adrien Rabiot was booked in the 41st minute, and two minutes later he made it 2-0, finishing from a Diego Moreira assist.
Ramos had the chance to add a third from another penalty in the 57th minute, but he missed. Milan got their third goal in the same minute anyway. Gila scored, with Rabiot providing the assist.
Atalanta were still three behind when they got their first goal in the 66th minute. Gianluca Gaetano scored, set up by Nicola Zalewski. Éderson José dos Santos was booked two minutes later, and Relja Obric followed into the book in the 78th minute.
Atalanta made it a one-goal game in the 81st minute. Nikola Krstović scored from a Raoul Bellanova assist. That left Milan to see out the remaining time, and they did.
Rabiot was involved in two of Milan’s three goals, scoring one and setting up another. Milan’s penalty miss did not cost them, though it left Atalanta needing only one more goal to level the match after Krstović’s strike.
